"Die plaashuis" is a 3 bedroom, 3 bathroom thatch roof farm house that has been modernized, without losing the rare and unique character of a traditional South African farm house, and can accommodate 6 people. It is available for your self-catering needs and ideal for families or small groups looking for a quick getaway from the big city on a game farm.
ABOUT THE GAME FARM
Hartbeesfontein Guest Farm was established in 2013. It is an exclusive privately owned working game farm (65ha), located inside the Big 5 Dinokeng Game Reserve, that is only a 30 minute drive north of Pretoria and less than 90 minutes from OR Tambo International Airtport.

"Die plaashuis" is booked in its entirety, ensuring privacy for your whole group. You will wake up in the morning with an exclusive look into our family groups of Game, including Kudu, Zebra, Blesbuck, Nyala and Duiker. Our friendly staff will be a phone call away should you need assistance with building a barbecue fire etc.
GROUP ACTIVITIES
"Die plaashuis" offer a garden, a lapa and barbecue facilities.
With the assistance of our friendly Care Taker, David, we also offer our guests the opportunity to assist and be part of our daily feeding routines, when feeding the Kudu and Nyala lucern. You might just be lucky enough to observe and meet some of our other "shy" visitors to join in the feeding frenzy.

Due to the size of our Guest Farm, visitors are more than welcome to take our 2 vintage bicycles out for a ride, do some bush walking or partake in the relaxing sport of many - bird watching.
